Vedic astrology is an antique art of astrology derived in India over 8000 years back. It is termed "Jyotish" in Hindi, which indicates the knowledge or science of light. Because Vedic astrology or Jyotish is a branch of Vedas (very old Indian Hindu scripts), it is recognized as Vedic astrology.

It is an interpretation and predicting method, based on astronomical statistics that permits its experts to cautiously evaluate and comprehend activities, to determine the effects of the past, the power of the present and the tendency of events to disclose in the future. The basics of Vedic Astrology were thought by antique logicians to have been introduced by Lord Brahmma, the originator. This information was then passed down to different Saints and to man.
